OK a bit of a rant here and any help will be greatly appreciated. I bought a datalogit from this forum and im having a hell of a time trying to get it to actually interface with my computer. I have a dyno day coming up in the 29th so i am in a bit of a hurry.
Also in my fustration i spent another 200 on the FC commander pro direct from apex-i only to find out it doesn't interface with my FC. Apexi knowingly sold me this and to their credit are going to make it right and send me a refund. So i am stuck with the datalogit
I paid my 20 bucks to join the yahoo group and they are pretty much ignoring me. I have paid 200 for the datalogit and 20 to the support group and no help from them yet. I have downloaded the FC edit from the RX7 forums to no avail. Everytime i try to connect to the datalogit it says 'cannot connect to interface'.
Com ports are right and the serial to USB converter is the exact same one they sell with the datlogit.
So i have come to the conclusion that you need the Orginal FC edit software that comes on the disc with the datalogit. The updated versions don't work with out the OG disc files.
If anyone has this software or the disc I will freaking pay you for it. I am 2 days away from buying a haltech and dont wanna drop another 1,500. I am very fustrated at the lack of support the Power FC and datalogit have and yes i know they are separate entities. I will never recommend another FC to anyone to use as a EMS again for as long as i live at this point. After paying for the Power FC, datalogit, commander pro softare, 2 USB to serial adapters, and 20 dollars to join a yahoo group i am at my wits end.
Any EMS worth it salt has support for these scenarios, and most let you download the software for free right from their website no less. So far the FC has pretty much proven to me it's a obsolete EMS and i don't understand why anyone on any forum would recommend it presently as a acceptable alternative in the tuning world to other EMS's. Buy a power FC BNIB and have no way to connect to a lap top or viable softare without paying another 200 to a 3rd party and even then it a crapshoot. And the commander is a poor excuse for a tuning tool, poor resolution and extremely limited tuning potential, and resources.
C/N: If you have orginal datalogit softare I ill pay u for it preferably the disc.
And if you have the Beige box is even better.
So Zilvia i beg you it appears you are my only hope.
