Pidgin Aim File Transfer Failed To Find
May 21, 2008 Strange. I have received Yahoo File Transfers via Gaim and Pidgin. I know this because Yahoo is the only IM Client that a friend of mine in Romania uses. However, when he tried to send me a File today it failed. File transfer worked fine as recently as 2 weeks ago.

Can't install on Windows 7. 'Failed to find Pidgin installation'. Pidgin is installed in: 'C:UsersAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsPidgin' (default install path). |

Default install path on Windows is %PROGRAMFILES%Pidgin (x86-32) or %PROGRAMFILES(x86)%Pidgin (x86_64). |

If you install Pidgin without admin rights, the path is: 'C:UsersAppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsPidgin'. You've installed pidgin into the user folder instead of system wide. You can install pidgin system wide by right clicking on the pidgin installer and choosing to 'Run as Administrator' I'll see if its possible at all to pick up on a user install of Pidgin in the registry |
